Twelve years in and still going strong, this Syrian kitchen in the middle of Cardiff is one of those rare spots that genuinely suits a family turning up en masse. It's spacious — one family arrived on a Saturday night without booking and still found room — so prams and pushchairs aren't a problem, and a recent refurb added big windows that flood the room with light. High chairs and a kids' menu are there, plus vegan and halal options, and free parking takes one worry off the table. The platters are built for sharing (the one for five feeds a family properly), the mixed grill for two comes on a bed of rice, and the kubba and laban immo get particular praise. Staff are warm and attentive — one family got a surprise birthday dessert. Prices are described by regulars as very reasonable.
