Pulling in off the road into Caersws, this little café hides a genuinely lovely surprise — big Welsh countryside views from outdoor benches, plus a crazy golf course to send the children off to while you finish your tea. Breakfast is the thing here: generous fry-ups around £8.50, properly cooked eggs, good sausage and bacon, and it lands on the table fast, which matters when someone's patience is running out. There's a kids' menu, high chairs, roomy indoor seating if the weather turns, and plenty of free parking with space to turn a caravan around. The staff are friendly and unfazed by fussy requests. The gravel car park gets slippy, the signage is easy to miss, and the fries can be a touch oily — but one family called it a lovely little surprise, and that's about right.
