Right on the River Severn, this bright, airy café-bar has plenty of tables and enough room to get a pram in without a fuss, plus a terrace facing the water and shaded seats for hot days. Parkland walks and a playground sit right next door, which is handy when someone needs to run around before the food lands. Breakfasts are the thing here — the veggie one gets particular praise, and a full breakfast runs around a tenner — and the cakes and counter treats are hard to walk past.
