Bigger inside than it looks from the door — it stretches right back, so there's room to park a pram without wedging yourself between tables, and the space feels bright and modern rather than poky. Nearly everything is baked on site: the corned beef pie comes out enormous, the cheese scones are made in-house, and the traditional breakfast arrives with more on the plate than you'd expect for the money. Staff are patient and happy to explain the menu, which helps when you're juggling a toddler and a decision. There's a kids' menu, high chairs, vegan options, outdoor seating and free parking. Not perfect — a few people have found orders muddled or portions uneven on a busy morning, and one parent felt a sandwich was pricey — but most walk out planning the next visit.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
