Mamucium
A Manchester restaurant with a kids' menu, high chairs, vegan options and outdoor seating for easy family meals.

Café · Manchester
A climbing centre with a café attached isn't the obvious family lunch stop, but it works surprisingly well — and the free parking makes it an easy one with small children in tow. The soft play is the draw for younger kids: self-contained behind a locked gate so nobody wanders off, with a toddler area, a bigger zone for older ones, a ball pit and a couple of small bouldering walls. Toilets and baby changing are inside that same area, which saves the trek out mid-play. There's a kids' menu and high chairs, and the food and facilities get consistent praise. The staff are genuinely patient — one parent brought a six-year-old and found them "really helpful and friendly" with the harnesses. It's quieter before 7pm. Bring comfortable clothes; you'll want to climb too. No water fountain, so bring a bottle.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
