A big, light brunch room in Angel Gardens with enough space between tables that a pram isn't a problem and nobody minds a bit of noise from your table — though on a busy Saturday morning it does get loud, so it's not the spot for a nap in the buggy. Tables turn quickly even when it's full, and the staff are consistently warm and quick, which helps when someone's hungry and impatient. The dirty benedict is the thing people rave about — crispy beef brisket, cheddar fritters, sriracha hollandaise — but at £17 it's a splurge, and portions are generous enough to share with a child. Pastries and the popular specials sell out by lunchtime, so come early. There's a kids' menu, high chairs, outdoor seating and plenty of vegan choices, and one small snag: coffees occasionally arrive lukewarm.
