Handy to know before you go: this is a snowsports centre with a cafe and bar upstairs, so the food sits alongside toboggan runs and snow tubing rather than being the main event. Parking is easy with plenty of free spaces, there's step-free access for a pram, high chairs and a kids' menu, and midweek it's genuinely quiet — one family managed half an hour of tubing plus three toboggan goes for £30 without queueing. Staff come up again and again as friendly and patient, good with nervous children and happy to field fussy questions. Two honest notes: the buildings are looking tired and overdue a facelift, and the cafe can stop serving food surprisingly early in the afternoon, so eat before your last activity rather than after. Service upstairs can be slow, though the team put things right when asked.
