A highly rated Derby garden centre that's a relaxed, easy-going spot for a family wander at reasonable prices.

Cafés · Derby
Tucked near the Borrowash side of Derby, this is a bakery-café that families keep coming back to — and it fills up fast, so a quiet weekday morning is your friend if you're wrangling a pram. There's proper room to spread out: tables indoors, a greenhouse space, and covered outdoor seats with umbrellas, all surrounded by greenery and flowers. High chairs and a kids' menu are sorted, buggy access is easy, and parking is free (though the car park gets tight at peak — the road outside usually has space). The cakes are the headline, including gluten-free and vegan, and the staff are good about allergies. Breakfast cobs, 200 Degrees coffee and a surprise Vietnamese menu round it out. It's a little pricey and gets noisy when busy, but one parent calls the staff "SO lovely".

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
