Harbour View Bar and Kitchen
Cracking harbour views, generous fresh cooking and warm, child-friendly staff — though the attached soft play is tricky with a pram.

Restaurant · Poole
Sitting right on the quay, this is a busy, sociable spot where the staff are the strongest thing going for it — they've handled parties of twenty walking in unbooked and 18th birthday groups of nine without dropping the thread, and they're patient and flexible with dietary needs, taking the time to talk gluten-free options through properly. Food comes out hot and quickly, which matters when someone small is unravelling. There's a kids' menu, high chairs, buggy access and outdoor seating on the quayside, plus vegan choices, and dogs are welcome too. Two honest notes: it gets genuinely packed, inside and out, and portions can feel small for the price — one visitor found the Stifado didn't justify the bill. Come for brunch before midday, as that menu stops early.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
