The Old School House
Lively Liverpool restaurant with a kids' menu, high chairs, step-free buggy access, gluten-free choices and outdoor seating.

Restaurant · Liverpool
A short bus ride out of Liverpool One and you're on Lark Lane, where this Lounge does the usual sprawling menu — brunch, burgers, tapas, curries — plus a few things you don't expect, like Nasi Goreng, Dan Dan noodles and a Sri Lankan curry, which helps when one child wants beans on toast and you want something interesting. Breakfasts are hearty and come out properly hot, every item cooked with care rather than slung on a plate. It's dimly lit and vintage inside with plenty of indoor seating, so there's room to park a pram, and a few outdoor tables for a sunny day. Kids' menu, high chairs, vegan and gluten-free options, halal meat, free parking. The staff are attentive and know their allergens. Prices sit a bit below the city-centre branches — one visitor called it "a great Lounge".

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
