Tucked into the Arndale centre, this is a small independent coffee house that does not feel like the chains around it, and that shows in the drinks — the pistachio latte gets talked about constantly, made with pistachio crème rather than a syrup pump, and the sizes are noticeably generous. There's a kids' menu, high chairs and buggy access, plus sheltered tables outside that are lovely on a still day and useful when you'd rather not squeeze a pram indoors, because it's honestly not a spacious room. Service is quick, which matters when someone's patience is thin, and the counter staff are warm enough to steer you towards the good stuff. Go earlier for the baked things; late in the day the shelves thin out. Drinks run sweet, so ask for less, and prices are a touch above average — regulars say "worth it".
