Mrs Fitzherbert's
Quirky central Brighton pub with a heated terrace, high chairs and a kids' menu — good sharing plates, basic basement loos.

Pub · Brighton
A Brighton institution that has been going long enough to feel like part of the furniture, this is a proper pub with a kids' menu, high chairs and buggy access, so daytime visits with little ones are straightforward. The outdoor seating is the pick for families — easier with a pram and less hemmed in than inside, where it can get tight when it's busy. Upstairs has been done up and is a lovely spot for a relaxed drink and a game. Staff are genuinely warm and happy to point you at other things to do in town, and there's a big bottle selection at fair prices. Two honest notes: it turns into a proper night-out venue with DJs and dancing later on, so come early with children, and door staff can be brusque. One regular calls it "a bloomin hoot".

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
