About Lost in the Lanes

Tucked just off the main drag in the Lanes, this is a brunch spot that takes the food seriously without making a fuss about children being there. Staff greet you at the door, the tables get turned quickly, and food arrives fast — genuinely useful when someone small is unravelling. High chairs, a kids' menu and buggy access are all sorted, and there's outdoor seating for when the inside hum gets too much. The breakfasts are the draw: eggs benedict and royale that people call works of art, a Dirty Croque described as "silly big", standout sausages and potatoes, and a proper vegan breakfast full of flavour. Save room for the lime pistachio cake or the banoffee honey toast. It's pricier than neighbouring cafés and busy without a booking, though the team squeeze people in where they can. Dogs welcome too.
