A family-run Italian on Southbrae Drive that manages the trick of being properly nice out (stunning decor, warm lighting) while staying relaxed enough for children. The team are the reason people keep coming back — attentive from the booking to the bill, patient with kids, and happy to make a fuss of a birthday. Portions are generous and the prices are fair for what arrives: pizza and pasta are the safe crowd-pleasers, and the hot honey chicken burger, salt and chilli fries, cheesecake and Snowball Sundae all get named again and again. High chairs, a kids' menu and buggy access are all sorted, and dogs are welcome too. Parking is easy — a small car park behind, street spaces, and the free station car park nearby. Do book, though: Saturday nights fill up a week ahead.
