Easy to drive straight past — the outside gives nothing away — but inside it's rustic in a warm, modern way, light and roomy enough for a pram, with a big outdoor seating area at the back that's the real find on a sunny day and looks out over open countryside. Free parking helps. Breakfast is the thing: perfectly poached eggs, eggs royale on brioche, a full English families call "top notch", and an imaginative veggie version. Sandwiches come huge, portions generous, and there's a kids' menu, high chairs and vegan options. Service is quick and genuinely kind — one family arrived past the breakfast cutoff and were told it was absolutely fine. It gets busy and happily noisy, and it's tucked away enough that you may circle once looking for the entrance.
