A proper Bristol cafe find, and cheap enough that a family lunch here won't sting — around a fiver gets you a decent plate, and the huge breakfast with a coffee comes in at about a tenner. Portions are big enough that one Spanish omelette can feed a parent and a toddler between them. There's ample seating and space to get a pram in, high chairs, a kids' menu and free parking, plus outdoor tables when the weather plays along. The air conditioning is genuinely good, which matters when you're wrangling a hot, cross child. Staff greet you at the door and ask what you'd like to drink before you've sat down. The veggie breakfast, the bubble and squeak and the Turkish menemen all get particular praise; one parent calls it "a real hidden gem".
