Italian · Brighton
A small neighbourhood Italian that punches far above its size, and one that works better with children than its date-night reputation suggests. The dining room is roomier than you'd expect, with plenty of tables, comfortable chairs and space to park a buggy, plus free street parking outside — a rare thing in Brighton. Weeknights are quiet and easy; Sunday evenings pack out, so book if you're bringing the whole family. The kitchen team is Italian and it shows: mozzarella dough balls, huge veggie calzones, generous lasagne and banoffee pie worth saving room for. Food arrives quickly, high chairs and a kids' menu are on hand, and the staff are unfailingly kind about small changes to an order. There's outdoor seating too. One small gripe: the bread basket underwhelms. Everything after it more than makes up for it.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
