Igloo Restaurant - Cirencester
Family-run Cirencester spot with huge portions, a kids' menu, gluten-free care and a warm welcome — plain decor, seriously good food.

Book ahead — this place fills up, and turning up on spec often means the upper floor or no table at all. That aside, it's a genuinely lovely spot for a family dinner: cosy inside, warm with staff who look after everyone at the table, and food that arrives properly good rather than just fine. Families rave about the pizza, the seafood linguine, the risotto with fat juicy prawns, and the artichoke hearts. Portions are generous and prices sit fairly for what you get. Allergies are taken seriously — one family had gluten, dairy, nut and sesame all worked around without fuss. High chairs, a kids' menu and buggy access are in place. Parking is a few spaces away and free after 6pm. Early evening is the calmest stretch if a quiet table matters.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
