Tucked at the end of Rothbury's High Street, this is a proper little Italian that families keep coming back to, and it's worth booking because it fills up fast. Portions are the kind you take home in a box — the calzone is enormous, the garlic bread arrives at a size that raises eyebrows, and the pasta gets genuine praise, especially the penne arrabiata and the chicken risotto. Pizzas come with a proper flat base and decent mozzarella, and you cut your own with a roller, which children find quite good fun. Staff are quick and warm, happy to talk through dietary needs, and they'll seat you promptly even without a table booked. There are high chairs, a kids' menu, buggy access, free parking and outdoor seating with heaters. Four people ate and drank for just over £70 — one family called the prices "unbelievably reasonable". Mind your head on the way in if you're tall.
