Chai is the reason to come, and it lives up to the fuss — rich, properly spiced, not too sweet, with sugar-free versions and a peach iced chai if the grown-ups fancy something different. The food is street-food style and cheap for what you get: masala fries with butter chicken, thalis, pakora bites that arrive crisp and piping hot, a masala omelette toastie. There's a kids' menu, high chairs and room to get a buggy in, and the staff are patient with questions about spice levels — useful when you're ordering for children. Food comes out quickly, which matters. Two caveats: tables are close together and it gets cramped at peak times, and tables aren't always cleared promptly. Around £17 for two with drinks. Regulars call it "a refreshing addition to Plymouth".
