The afternoon tea is what people come for, around £25 a head, and the team will do a mini version for little ones, which turns a long sit-down into something a child feels part of. High chairs and a kids' menu are there, vegan options are properly done (vegan hot chocolate with whip included), and there's two hours of free parking just across the road. It's a small, cosy space, so a pram may need parking by the door, and it can run cool inside — bring a cardigan. Scones can occasionally be a touch dry; the sandwiches rarely disappoint.
