Cafés · Abergele
Low wooden ceilings and a bit of quirky character make this a proper little bolthole on an Abergele morning, though it's worth knowing it fills up and gets chatty — book a table if you want lunch without hovering. Buggy access and high chairs are sorted, there's a kids' menu, and free parking takes the stress out of arriving. Nobody rushes you out, which matters when a toddler is halfway through toast. The cooked breakfasts come hot and plentiful, the cappuccinos are enormous, and the tea cakes get a lot of love — two tea cakes plus two hot drinks came to under £7 for one family. It's also genuinely dog-friendly, with a bowl of water and a bit of sausage brought out unasked. A few people find the breakfasts pricey for what they are, so check the menu first.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
