A roomy Japanese spot right by Cabot Circus, with limited seating downstairs and more tables upstairs — worth knowing if you've got a buggy, as that's also where the toilets are (you need the code from your receipt to get in). You order face to face at the till rather than a kiosk, and food comes out fast, which matters when someone's hungry and fidgeting. Portions are generous for the price, the hot udon and rice bowls and miso soup get the most love, and the table sauces are vegan and genuinely good with the noodles. There's a kids' menu, high chairs and plenty of veg options, and the staff will happily talk you through the menu if it's all new. One snag: upstairs tables aren't always cleared quickly, so you may need to wipe down before you sit.
