Pitcher & Piano Nottingham
A relaxed Nottingham bar serving cocktails, grazing plates and pub classics — an easygoing spot for a leisurely family lunch or early bite.

Tapas · Nottingham
A tapas place at the pricier end, but the £20 express menu (Tue–Thu early evening, Saturday lunch) makes it far more doable with children in tow. Buggy access, high chairs and a kids' menu are all sorted, and dishes arrive as they're ready rather than in one long wait — genuinely useful when someone's patience is running out. The staff tend to talk you through the menu and make suggestions, though on busier visits service can wander and you may end up asking twice. Order the savoy cabbage with sesame and chilli crisp — people rave about it — plus the lamb shoulder, the big meaty gambas and the coffee panna cotta. Tables upstairs at the back look onto the service counter, so ask for the main room. Book ahead; walk-ins are welcome but it fills.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
