Inside is plain and warm, busy with locals and drivers, so nobody minds a noisy toddler. Food arrives hot and fast, portions are generous, and it's genuinely cheap: a big breakfast with a coffee lands around £12.50. Add the fried potatoes — people rave about them. The toilets are spotless, there are vegan options, and the coffee keeps coming. Outdoor seating on a fine day has long views across the valley. No frills and no soft-play, but honest food and staff one visitor calls "genuinely lovely".
