The Maltsters
A friendly Norwich pub with outdoor seating and a solid 4.3 rating, easygoing enough for a family meal without breaking the bank.

Cafés · Norwich
Set beside Malthouse Broad with the water and moored boats right there, this converted old malting has enough room between tables that you can park a pram without apologising to anyone, and there's a proper outdoor section for when the little ones need to be loud. Sunday lunchtime, people have walked in without booking and still found a table. Food comes out quickly, which matters mid-meltdown, and the staff chat rather than hover. The crayfish baguette and jacket potatoes get named again and again, the full English is done properly, and the cake counter is almost a problem — hummingbird, rhubarb and custard, courgette and lime. There's a car park right outside, a gift shop and gallery upstairs, and ducks by the water that will happily take your kids' attention for twenty minutes.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
