The New Inn, Horning
A traditional family pub near Norwich serving seafood and grill dishes, with outdoor seating and a solid 4.2-star reputation.

Pub · Norwich
Right on the water at Horning, this is a big, easygoing pub where a family with a pram and a hungry toddler won't feel in the way — there's plenty of room inside, a reasonable-sized free car park, and a playground on site, plus another by the village hall ten minutes' walk into the village. Food comes out fast, hot and in genuinely enormous portions: the roast and carvery get the most love, along with the bangers and mash, the pies with piles of veg, and the BBQ brisket nachos (order the small one). Breakfast is a good shout too, with a fire lit and the boats drifting past the window. There's a kids' menu, high chairs and clean toilets. Worth booking in summer — one parent calls the veg "very over cooked", so the carvery can be hit and miss.
