A long, winding single-track drive gets you to this spot at the head of the bay, with the Highlands rising behind — well worth it, though families in bigger vehicles should know the road is narrow. Inside it's small and relaxed, with high chairs, a kids' menu, buggy access, free parking and a few outdoor tables for when children need air. Everything is homemade and locally sourced: a smoked fish platter, venison, prawns, a vegetarian haggis burger, and a curry one visitor rated the finest they'd ever eaten. The sticky toffee pudding is worth saving room for, and vegans and other dietary needs are handled willingly. Staff are warm and unhurried — one family calls it "brilliant friendly and relaxing". Do book: it fills up despite the remoteness, and the Sunday set lunch is especially popular.
