Pizza · Manchester
Sourdough is the thing here — slow-risen, blistered and full of flavour, and it lands on the table fast, which matters enormously when someone small has hit the wall. The spicy salami with caramelised onions gets the loudest praise; the margherita is fresher and more raw-tomato than exciting, so order accordingly. There's a proper kids' menu, high chairs, and room to get a pram in, and prices are genuinely low for somewhere this central — you can feed a family without wincing. Staff tend to be patient and happy to explain the menu, and one of the vegan pizzas is good enough that Italian visitors rave about it. It's a busy city-centre spot, so expect a hum rather than hush at peak times, and the tea comes in oddly tiny cups. One family called the atmosphere "warm and comforting".

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
