A proper little café in the middle of Cardiff, this one draws people back weekly for the full Welsh — big plates, hot and fast out of the kitchen, and prices that surprise people given the location. Breakfast is the main event, with baguettes running a close second, and portions are generous enough that a child can share off a plate rather than needing their own. There's a kids' menu and high chairs if you'd rather they had their own, and buggy access is fine. Staff are quick and friendly, which matters when someone small has decided they're hungry now — food doesn't hang about. It's spotlessly clean, and does takeaway if you'd rather eat in the park. Small, though, so a weekend morning with a pram can feel snug. One regular calls it their "go to for a weekly full Welsh".
