About Damascena Coffee House Birmingham City Centre

Step inside and the noise of Birmingham city centre drops away — warm lighting, calm music and beautiful tiled rooms that make a family lunch feel like an occasion rather than a scramble. It's roomy enough for a pram, with high chairs, a kids' menu and outdoor seating at the front on decent days. The menu is huge, with plenty for vegetarians, vegans and halal eaters: mixed shawarma wraps, manakeesh, smashed avocado on sourdough, and a tahini-and-dates milkshake worth ordering for the novelty alone. Portions are generous and food comes out fast, which matters when someone's patience is thinning. It's a little pricey, and city-centre parking is luck-of-the-draw — motorcycle parking sits right outside. Service is usually warm, though it can turn brisk when they're slammed. One parent found it "completely different and genuinely memorable".
