Carlisi
A busy little Sicilian trattoria on Dale Street with an all-day menu, kids' menu, high chairs and warm, quick service.

Café · Liverpool
A Sunday morning here runs relaxed and unhurried, which is half the battle with children in tow — though it fills up fast on weekends, so expect a wait or a table downstairs if you arrive late. Staff are quick and genuinely warm with little ones; one family found their toddler's meal arrived without any delay, which matters when someone's on the edge. Breakfast is the draw: a full English piled with bacon, sausage, black pudding, hash browns and scrambled eggs, plus pancakes, French toast, eggs benedict and loaded omelettes made to order. The coffee's excellent, with a Biscoff biscuit on the side. There's a kids' menu, high chairs, vegan options, outdoor seating and room to get a pram in. Prices are gentle for the quality.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
