About Central Oven & Shaker
Neapolitan pizza is the draw here — properly blistered crust, plenty of flavour, and a short menu that keeps things simple when you're ordering for children. The mac and cheese lands bubbling in a hot skillet, and the halloumi fries with tomato jam get singled out again and again. Booths are comfortable and the room is modern and relaxed rather than fussy, with space for a buggy, high chairs, a kids' menu and vegan options. Small plates work well for sharing across a bigger table, and food tends to arrive piping hot and fairly quickly. Staff are attentive and happy to talk you through the menu. Worth knowing: it's a big drinks and bottomless-brunch spot, so a loud table nearby can make conversation hard — one family found a rowdy group upstairs drowned them out.
