Cafés · Hove
A small independent on George Street in Hove that punches well above its size — breakfasts here get talked about for weeks. Everything's made fresh to order, so pancakes for the children arrive cooked on the spot, and portions are generous enough that nobody leaves picking at each other's plates. Seating is spacious and the room stays calm and clean, which makes a difference with a pram and a toddler. There are high chairs, a kids' menu, tables outside and free parking nearby. The smoked salmon and halloumi breakfasts, the Greek chicken salad and the Med Melt at £7.95 all come recommended, and the staff will happily veganise things if you ask. Worth knowing: the owner sometimes runs it single-handed at weekends, so food can take a little longer. One parent simply calls it "a little gem in Hove".

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
