Richard's Cafe
A relaxed Hove café with high chairs, outdoor seating and vegan options — easy with little ones in tow.

Restaurant · Hove
Brunch is the main event here, and it's a good one for parents — bright, cheerfully decorated rooms, outdoor tables on the pavement in the sun, and a team who quietly notice things (one visitor had a wobbly table fixed before they'd even mentioned it). Buggy access and high chairs are sorted, there's a kids' menu, and food comes out fast if you need it to: one parent ate lunch in 30 minutes flat while their daughter slept in the pram, without ever feeling rushed. The eggs Benedict, full English and pancakes get the loudest praise, plus proper gluten-free and vegan options and specialty coffee. There's an extra dining area upstairs that suits bigger groups. Prices are fair overall, though the £14.50 brioche french toast struck at least one regular as steep. Weekend bubbles brunches make it lively.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
