The room is cosy rather than sprawling, so a big pram may be awkward at busy times. Sitting on the Royal Mile it fills up: arrive around 8am and you'll walk straight in, otherwise expect a wait. Staff are warm and quick even when it's heaving, and prices are fair for the location — one visitor called the breakfast better than a five-star hotel's.
