Tucked into a cosy room in Glasgow's city centre, this is the kind of Italian where the staff notice when a small person needs something before you have to ask — tables get checked on regularly, and one family celebrating a birthday were brought out a tiramisu with a candle unprompted. There's a kids' menu, high chairs and buggy access, plus vegan options, and the pre-theatre menu is genuinely good value if you're eating early. Pasta comes out properly al dente, the ravioli from the small plates menu has a loyal following, and the butternut squash lasagne and matcha cheesecake both get raved about. Service is quick even when it's busy, and there's no sneaky service charge. Fair warning: portions have shrunk a little in recent years, and the burger is not where the money's well spent.
