It's a big, plain pub where five adults and two children's meals come in under £90, and outside peak times there's room to park a pram beside the table without blocking a walkway. High chairs and a kids' menu are there, buggy access is easy and parking is free. Worth knowing: when it fills up the kitchen slows right down, and forty-minute waits on fish and chips have caught people out — so aim for an early or off-peak sitting if you've got hungry children. Staff are generally friendly and food normally arrives hot and quickly enough.
