A warm, affordable Seaton pub with outdoor seating, making it an easy spot for a relaxed family meal or drink.

Perched above the bay on the edge of Beer, this is the sort of place you can walk to with a pram and still get a table with a view — outdoor seating looks straight out to sea, parking is free and easy, and there are high chairs and a kids' menu waiting inside. Staff are patient and genuinely welcoming, and they've been notably accommodating with wheelchairs too. Breakfast is a strong bet: fresh, properly cooked, and a good start before a walk. The seafood platter draws the loudest praise — one family called it fresh, delicious and huge enough for two. Plenty of ingredients come from nearby producers. It's dog friendly, with a bright Mediterranean feel indoors. Worth knowing: prices sit a little above the village pubs, and the odd dish has landed dry.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
