Costa Coffee
A handy Reading coffee stop with high chairs, outdoor seating and the usual Costa hot drinks, iced coolers and snacks for the family.

Cafés · Reading
A chance-find on a walkable stretch from Reading station, this is a warm, properly clean room where the tables are neatly spaced enough to park a buggy without apologising to anyone. Breakfast and brunch is the main event — the Mediterranean breakfast, Eggs Florentine, beef brisket Benedict, a genuinely good vegan breakfast — with Turkish flavours running through it and portions generous enough that one plate often does for a child too. There's a kids' menu, high chairs, and outside tables that come into their own when the doors are open on a sunny morning. The coffee is a cut above; the carrot cake is worth the detour. Staff are attentive and kind. Two honest snags: lunch choice is thinner than breakfast, and on a busy morning food can be slow — booking is worth it.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
