Cafe Thrive
All-vegan Southampton café with hearty breakfasts, loaded fries and a knockout cake counter — buggy-friendly, kid-ready and reliably busy.

Restaurant · Southampton
A small floor space downstairs with more seating upstairs, so it's worth going up if you've got a pram and a toddler in tow — high chairs, a kids' menu and buggy access are all in place, and the loos are clean. Service is the real selling point for families: food arrives fast, which matters when someone's hit their limit, and the staff are polite and helpful with it. Portions are big for the money — two bowls of ramen and drinks came to £20 for one couple, and there's 10% off if you pay cash. The spicy chicken ramen, prawn tempura and katsu curry come up again and again. The menu is enormous, which can feel like a warning sign, but one parent who ordered widely found "nothing was disappointing". Worth eating in rather than ordering delivery — takeaway packaging has let it down.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
