Thai · Liverpool
A modest little cafe out beyond the city centre, and one that's earned a weekly slot in a lot of families' routines — several people mention swapping their usual Friday takeaway for this. The pad Thai and the curries are what people come back for, especially the red curry and the peanut-coconut one, and there are a few vegan options too. Portions are generous for the money; two soups, two rice dishes and three drinks came to under £40. High chairs, a kids' menu and buggy access are all sorted, and the staff are warm with children. The catch: it's genuinely tiny, only a handful of tables, so ring ahead or you may be waiting. Takeaway is well organised if the day's gone sideways. One family calls it "like home cooking somehow" — that's about right.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
