Parking is free for four hours if you spend a fiver in the café, which most families will. The food punches above a museum canteen: a properly good full English, roast beef and Yorkshire pudding wraps with dirty fries, avocado toast lifted by toasted pine nuts, and cake worth staying for — the fruit bread especially. Kids' menu and high chairs are there, and the staff stay polite even when it's heaving. Two honest snags: service can be slow at busy times, and the menu leans upmarket. One parent found the atmosphere simply "chill".
