Iydea Vegetarian Kitchen
Fast, filling veggie and vegan food in Brighton with clear allergen labelling, high chairs and outdoor seating — busy but great value.

Pub · Brighton
Sunday lunch is the reason to plan this one — the pork roast comes with crackling people call "unreal", generous portions, pigs in blankets and extra-cheesy cauliflower on the side, and nobody hurries you along, which matters when a toddler is halfway through. There's a kids' menu and high chairs, and the tables out the front sit on a little path lined with market stalls, so there's plenty of passing life to hold small people's attention (the benches do tilt slightly, so mind a wobbly drink). Inside is bright and colourful rather than dark and poky. Lighter days, the halloumi flatbread, chicken burgers and pulled pork loaded fries do the job. Worth knowing: Monday is quiz night and gets busy and loud, so daytime is the calmer bet with children.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
