Lakeside Cafe
A laid-back Lincoln cafe with a kids' menu, high chairs and outdoor seating — easy for a family coffee stop.

Garden Center · Lincoln
A garden centre with an animal park and a play barn attached, so a wet Saturday can absorb a good few hours here — pigs, goats, horses and a wandering peacock outside, plus a zip line in the play area that children rate above everything else. Parking is free and the indoor soft play is genuinely useful. Two cafés operate: the older one overlooks the lake and does a proper jacket potato with a generous salad, food out quickly; the newer one is bright and airy with a fire in the back room. Portions are big. Be honest with yourself about timing, though — at peak weekend hours it gets incredibly loud, the kitchen visibly struggles, and one parent found the cake choice picked over. Grab a table before you order, and leave someone sitting in it. Paths are uneven in places for wheelchairs.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
