Big windows look out over the gardens, there's air conditioning for hot days, outdoor seating, free parking and buggy access, plus high chairs and a kids' menu. Sunday roasts draw the most praise — the beef especially — alongside starters like scotch egg and ham hock, and desserts worth sharing even when you're full. Allergies are handled properly, with a separate allergy menu rather than a crossed-through one, and the vegan and vegetarian choices are genuinely thought through. Staff are warm and quick without hurrying you. It's on the pricier side and worth booking; one corner table was noted as chilly. Mocktails for the driver are a nice touch.
