Right by the castle in the middle of town, this is a good stop when everyone's tired from walking round Caernarfon and needs feeding properly. The 600-year-old wall running through the dining room gives it real character, and the open kitchen is genuinely entertaining if you've got a child who won't sit still — plenty to watch while you wait. Air conditioning helps on warm days, and there's a proper kids' menu, high chairs, buggy access and outdoor seating. Portions are generous: the focaccia sandwiches, homemade soup, pizzas and the Welsh burger all come in for praise, and there's a separate gluten-free menu with real choice plus vegan options. Staff stay calm and friendly even when it's packed. It fills up at brunch and by the castle it often is, so arrive early or expect a wait; the fish and chips can be hit and miss.
