Millhouses Park Cafe
A relaxed park café by the boating lake in Sheffield, with a kids' menu, high chairs and outdoor seating beside the green.

Pub · Sheffield
Right by Millhouses Park, with a private gate from the car park straight into the green space — which makes the whole trip easier when you've got a pram and a toddler who needs to run before lunch. The Sunday roast is what people come back for: beef, lamb and a pork belly with proper crackling that converts even sceptics, with generous portions and fresh seasonal veg. Midweek is quieter and calmer; the chicken Holstein and feta pie both get warm words. The large beer garden is lovely in the sun, though that's exactly when it fills up, and one family booked ahead on a Saturday and still waited 40 minutes for food — worth feeding small children a snack first. Staff are friendly and apologetic when it's slow. Kids' menu, high chairs and free parking.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
