A modern Birmingham bar with cocktails, grazing plates and pub classics, plus outdoor seating for easygoing family visits.

Perched on the first floor above the canal, this one earns its spot for the view alone — and there's a lift as well as stairs, so you're not wrestling a buggy up steps. Food arrives fast, which matters when a toddler is fraying; one family with a two-year-old found the team went well out of their way, and little ones tend to demolish the noodles. The ramen gets the most love: rich broth, properly cooked noodles, tender toppings, with crispy glazed chicken and gyoza close behind. Plenty of vegan choices, high chairs and a kids' menu. Staff will steer you to milder flavours if spice is an issue. It can get busy and service occasionally drags at the front desk before you're seated — worth factoring in if you're arriving hungry.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
