The Grill Bar & Restaurant
Central Cardiff spot with kids' menu, high chairs and buggy access — good-looking setting, but reports are mixed and it heaves after rugby.

Brazilian · Cardiff
A Brazilian churrascaria where the meat keeps coming until you flip your coaster to red — picanha and rump steak get the most praise, alongside crispy fried polenta and properly good mashed potato. Come hungry, because portions are enormous. The staff are the standout: attentive without hovering, keeping track of what your table has tried and topping up drinks, which makes a real difference with children in tow. There's a kids' menu, high chairs, buggy access and vegan options, and the salad bar means little ones can graze straight away rather than waiting. Window tables offer decent people-watching on a busy Saturday. Be warned on cost — dinner runs close to £40 a head, and the premium rodizio upgrade adds nearly £9 more, which some families feel is steep. The salad bar can also run low at peak times.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
